the Internet is buzzing with stories, rumors and thoughts about RIM's attempt to enter the mobile, tablet computer space.
  The first tipoff about RIM's tablet plans came when the manufacturer of the BlackBerry reserved the  web address. Analyst Ashok Kumar of Rodman & Renshaw, who contacted RIM suppliers, believes the BlackPad is likely to have front and rear videoconferencing cameras. Blackberry manufacturer Research in Motion is reportedly preparing to launch an iPad competitor this fall. Hugo Miller writes that the "Blackpad" will be based on the company's mobile phone operating system and will be closely integrated with current messaging and e-mail systems: "The device will have roughly the same dimensions as the iPad, which has a 9.7-inch diagonal screen, said the two people who wouldn’t be identified because the plans haven’t been made public. The device will include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless technology that will allow people to connect to the Internet through their BlackBerry smartphones.
